Luke Shaw won’t be returning to Manchester United early after his red card for England against Italy.
There was a relief among United fans because all of our players have played so much football lately. Getting extra minutes in over the international break is unnecessary.
Marcus Rashford is one who was absent from the England squad through injury, while Harry Maguire started at centre-back.
Despite missing Sunday’s game against Ukraine due to suspension, Shaw took training with England on Saturday.

It goes without saying that there’s a lot of football to be played this season – and missing a few Euro 2024 qualifiers won’t make a difference. Playing them could resent in long-term injuries and additional fatigue.
