The clickbait merchants are getting desperate and the transfer window hasn’t opened yet.
According to 90min, Manchester United have ‘joined’ Liverpool and Man City in a pursuit to sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
Apparently United are ‘exploring’ the possibility of signing the Croatia international, 28, as a possible alternative to Frenkie de Jong.
Kovacic currently earns £150k per week at Chelsea and will be looking for a higher salary package if he is to leave Stamford Bridge anytime soon.
United are set to sign a central midfielder in the summer, so we can expect a flurry of names to do the rounds.
Kovacic is just the latest.
