Sancho starts: predicted Manchester United lineup vs Fulham

Manchester United are getting ready for the last game before the campaign is paused to accommodate this month’s international fixtures, with EURO 2024 qualifiers getting underway next week.

The Reds will be welcoming Fulham to Old Trafford for the latest home tie in the FA Cup, with a place in the semi-finals at stakes as Erik ten Hag chases another trip to Wembley.

The Dutchman ended United’s six-year wait for silverware last month and he will be hoping to add another trophy or two to that collection by the time the season is over.

Ahead of this game, it will be interesting to see how Ten Hag picks his side but he is expected to name a strong team against an in-form Fulham.

David de Gea is certain to keep his place, whilst Raphael Varane could return and partner Lisandro Martinez at the back. Tyrell Malacia was one of the standout performers in the mid-week game against Real Betis but Luke Shaw is likely to be preferred.

Further up the pitch, Casemiro will be serving the first of his four-game suspension whilst Scott McTominay has been named a doubt due to injury.

That means Fred and Marcel Sabitzer are likely to make up a two-man midfield behind Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho.

Wout Weghorst has started every single game since he joined the club over the winter and there are no indications that that stunning run is coming to an end anytime soon, with Anthony Martial still struggling with his fitness.

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Fred, Sabitzer; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst
