Manchester United are reportedly preparing to compete with Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The France international has earned a lot of attention this season before emerging as an option for the Red Devils.
According to German publication Bild (H/t Sport Witness), Kolo Muani is their priority target and it’s going to take a big transfer fee for Frankfurt to agree to a sale when Paris Saint-Germain are knocking on their door for the player’s signature.
While Kolo Muani has impressed in the Bundesliga and with the France national team, we can understand fans who would rather a move for strikers like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.
Kolo Muani has scored 11 times and assisted a further 12 goals this season.
We are talking the same price region for Kolo Muani, too. The report from Bild suggests United will prepare a €120 million (£105m) offer to fight off PSG.
Fabrizio Romano update on Kolo Muani
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, United’s links to Kolo Muani are worth taking with a pinch of salt, as we’re being linked with so many strikers this summer.
“There are many clubs appreciating Kolo Muani, he’s a fantastic player,” Romano told CaughtOffside.
“I’m not aware of Manchester United bids at this stage; there are many links, one day is Harry Kane, one day Victor Osimhen, one day Dusan Vlahovic, one day Kolo Muani, one day Goncalo Ramos.
“It will take time, and March is not the time to submit proposals. For sure, Eintracht would only sell Randal in case of “crazy” bid, not for normal proposals.”
