Confirmed Manchester United line-up vs Southampton – Two changes

Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up to face Southampton in the Premier League this afternoon. The Dutchman has made two changes to his XI.

David de Gea keeps his place between the sticks after Thursday night’s 4-1 win over Real Betis in the Europa League, however, he will be one of the many players looking to bounce back from last Sunday’s 7-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod ahead of Diogo Dalot, while Luke Shaw keeps his place at left-back. There’s no surprise at centre-back with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in the line-up.

Casemiro will protect our back four, with Fernandes and possibly Jadon Sancho in a more central role. The winger replaces Fred in United’s midfield.

The attacking trio consists of Antony, Wout Weghorst and Marcus Rashford.

United have a chance to get back to winning ways in the Premier League against one of the worst teams in the division. We must take this opportunity to collect three points and push on towards that top four finish we’ve been aiming for all season.

The players will be wearing black armbands as a mark of respect to Ian Sterling. May he rest in peace.
