Gary Neville has taken to social media to give his reaction to Liverpool losing to Bournemouth today, reminding everyone of what he said about them after Sunday’s freak result against Manchester United.
Liverpool beat Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield in the Premier League last weekend.
The Reds played alright in the first half, but ultimately collapsed in the second half and went on to concede 6 goals after going in 1-0 down at the break.
Liverpool would have expected to win today – away at Bournemouth. We’re delighted to tell you they didn’t. They bottled it.
Philip Billing scored from eight yards out to give the Cherries a much needed set of three points.
Bournemouth needed the result to begin their march out of the relegation zone – forever long that lasts. They held onto the lead for the majority of the match after scoring in the 28th minute.
Gary Neville jokes at Liverpool’s expense
Gary Neville took to Twitter after the match, simply reminding a few people that Liverpool are not playing well at the moment, despite what a freak result may lead people to think.
Neville tweeted: “With no-one on final score today I thought I would bring you the early kick off result. Bournemouth 1-0 Liverpool… and they’re playing so well.”
