Video: Casemiro arguing with Bruno for not passing him the ball at the end

Casemiro scored the decisive first goal in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle and the Brazil international has further cemented his place as this season’s best signing.

The five-time Champions League winner, who celebrated his 31st birthday by eliminating old rivals Barcelona from the Europa League three days ago, was rock-solid in the 90 minutes and has now picked up his first trophy in Red.

The final scoreline was 2-0 but United had a stunning chance to score another just moments before the full-time whistle was sounded, with Bruno Fernandes charging in on goal.

With Jadon Sancho available to his left, the Portuguese maestro decided not to pass and go for goal himself as he forced a save from Loris Karius.

After the game, Casemiro could be seen jokingly scolding Fernandes for his decision not to pass, with the stand-in skipper defending himself. The interaction is the latest evidence of the growing harmony in the squad.
