Manchester United, along with Chelsea, are being linked with Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.

According to 90min, Manchester United are among several clubs who are keeping tabs on the 19-year-old centre-back.

Scalvini is considered one of the most promising defenders in Serie A and he doesn’t turn 20 until the end of the year.

The Italian has thus far made 20 appearances for Atalanta this season, scoring twice, and it looks like he is already attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

United last signed a talented youngster from Atalanta in 2020 when Amad Diallo joined the club. He has since gone on to have a terrific season on loan at Sunderland in the Championship this season.

This could be one to watch in the summer but there isn’t enough to call Scalvini a transfer target for United. Not yet anyway.
