Manchester United women’s players against Mason Greenwood’s potential return

It is believed the Manchester United women’s players do not want Mason Greenwood to return to the club after having all criminal charges made against him dropped, while the men’s squad is split over a potential recall.

Mason Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault in January 2022. He denied those charges and they were dropped last week after a long investigation involving the CPS.

According to The Times, some members of Manchester United’s women’s team have serious concerns about the possibility of Mason Greenwood returning to first-team training.

Both squads don’t expect Greenwood to be recalled – but we don’t know how many players this report has been based on, though it doesn’t change the fact this is a horrible conversation to have having around our football club – due to the evidence that was leaked across social media over a year ago.

Some members of the men’s team would have no objection to Greenwood coming back given that he has not been found guilty of anything. At the same time, he has not been found innocent.
