(Video) Erik ten Hag says he feels connected to Man United team ahead of pivotal month

The rest of this month will be grueling for Manchester United but the mentality Erik ten Hag has instilled in the side has done them the world of good ahead of their biggest test this season.

United are currently third in the Premier League despite winning just one of their last four league games, with a fiery trip to Elland Road awaiting Ten Hag’s men.

A league game against Leicester is then sandwiched by two Europa League games against Barcelona before the Carabao Cup final at the end of this month.

Speaking ahead of the game against Leeds, Ten Hag said he feels ‘connected’ to the current group of players – a sentiment that is being increasingly shared among supporters.

“I feel really connected with this team, with this squad,” he told Football Daily, as seen above.

“So United, so with the culture of Man United, I feel really connected with that. I see the team is growing, I see it’s about the culture of how to win games, do it with the United way, with togetherness, do it with an attacking and proactive way.

“You need players who are taking responsibility, you need the right characters in the dressing room. So when they go on to the pitch, they know what’s going on. They take the right choices, the right decisions.

“You have to rely on your players in such moments and most times, we can do. And players like it, to play in big games coming up like Barcelona. The other games like City and Arsenal. I think all the Premier League games, players like it, to have a challenge because when they get challenged, they get the best.”
