Inter Milan have approached Manchester United regarding the prospect of signing Harry Maguire on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Italian giants had already made their interest clear in Victor Lindelof last week but Erik ten Hag issued a swift ‘no’ in response to their approach – and it’ll likely be the same answer for Maguire.
According to Mail Sport, Inter have set their sights on the 29-year-old to replace centre-back Milan Skriniar, who has agreed a deal with Paris Saint-Germain. Maguire reportedly has a high reputation with foreign clubs due to his stellar performances for England at the World Cup.

The report also suggests that Maguire is happy to stay at United until the summer but could seek a move away at the end of the 2022/2023 campaign if he is unlikely to feature more next season.
The club captain has undoubtedly fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season due to Ten Hag preferring the outstanding partnership of Raphael Varane alongside Lisandro Martinez. However, Maguire still has a crucial role to play for United, especially given their forthcoming packed fixture schedule, and has done a fine job when called upon this season.
