Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand – like the rest of us – has been left impressed by Luke Shaw this season.
Shaw has reached a new level since returning from the World Cup, though.
Erik ten Hag tested him out on two occasions at centre-back and he did well, but nobody thought he would be able to pull it off against the likes of Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne.
Well, he did…
Speaking to Vibe with Five, Ferdinand waxed lyrical about Shaw’s performances since the World Cup.
“Since he’s come back from the World Cup he’s been absolutely faultless, and he’s been playing centre-back — he’s been brilliant there too.”
