(Video) Luke Shaw delivers verdict on Man United win over Bournemouth after stunning performance

Luke Shaw is one of many players enjoying stellar seasons at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag, with the 27-year-old completely transforming his game since the Dutchman took over last year.

Shaw was initially dropped in favour of summer signing Tyrell Malacia but the Englishman has since reclaimed his spot in the side, impressing at both left-back and centre-back.

He was once again at the centre of post-match plaudits this week after he scored his first goal of the season against Bournemouth, with United claiming a five-point lead on fifth-placed Tottenham. Speaking after the game, Shaw delivered his verdict.

“Really happy,” Shaw told BeIN Sports after the game, as seen above. “I think the most important thing tonight was the three points and we got that. We’ve got really good momentum at the moment and we feel that as players, as staff.

“The main thing now is to keep that consistency and keep going.”

Shaw was one of four players to have their contracts extended by one season at the end of 2022 but it is fair to assume that the club are keen on tying him down to a long-term deal.

United will now play two cup games before they face a series of difficult tests in the Premier League, with games against Manchester City and Arsenal to be played in January.
