Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia has been included in Who Scored’s Team of the Week.

Malacia was named in the starting lineup for two matches last week; Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Red Devils finished the week with an aggregate winning score of 4-0. They now sit fourth in the Premier League and have been granted a lucrative opportunity to capitalise on recent rival losses, with Manchester City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea all dropping points this weekend.

The Netherlands international displayed two faultless performances and kept two clean sheets, which is impressive to say the backline in both matches was not the manager’s first-choice defensive line.

Ten Hag’s tactical changes

He was deployed in his favourite position on the left of the defence, as Erik ten Hag opted to utilise Luke Shaw, a natural left-back, in a central role alongside Raphael Varane due to Harry Maguire suffering from an illness.

World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez is still yet to feature for the Reds since returning from international duty and his first match back will likely be tomorrow night against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
