Bruno Fernandes tops list for impressive Premier League playmaking statistic

Bruno Fernandes has topped the list of one impressive Premier League playmaking statistic.

The Manchester United midfielder has been invaluable to his side since signing in January 2020.

Whilst his goal contributions have dropped compared to his first two seasons in red, his impact on the pitch has not changed at all. Fernandes is a dominant figure who covers the entire pitch for the full 90 minutes. His pressing, passing and attacking mindset make him one of United’s most irreplaceable names in the starting lineup.

The 28-year-old has also plays a key role for the Portugal national team. He scored two goals and contributed three assists at the World Cup this year and was undoubtedly their best player of the tournament.

Fernandes’ created chances

In the Premier League, Fernandes has created 32 chances from open play – more than any other player in the top division this season. The fact he currently only has one assist in the league shows the Reds need to work on their finishing, something that Erik ten Hag is likely drilling into them.
