Lisandro Martinez has returned to Carrington after winning the World Cup with Argentina in Qatar.
Just 10 days after lifting the World Cup, Martinez has returned to United’s training ground to prepare for the next game against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, as per ManUtd.com.

It was a good time for Martinez to return as his team-mates conducted a recovery session following last night’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Raphael Varane returned for the match and it sounds like it won’t be long before Erik ten Hag has his two preferred centre-backs available for selection. On Tuesday night, the manager opted to play Luke Shaw at centre-back alongside the Frenchman.
Ten Hag gave his players some time off after their World Cup commitments, with Martinez being the last player to return after going all the way in Qatar. He made four appearances throughout the World Cup and looks destined to earn a starting spot in the Argentina XI in the near future.
Varane showed willingness to return for the game against Forest, so I would imagine that Martinez will do the same for Saturday’s early kick-off.
The manager is expected to give an update on Martinez – and other players like Diogo Dalot, who has been out injured since returning from the World Cup — on Friday when he speaks to the press ahead of the team’s trip to Molineux.
It’s a huge boost for United to have Martinez back ahead of a busy fixture schedule.
