You have probably noticed from our articles and social media content in recent months that we are huge fans of Lisandro Martinez, who left Ajax for Manchester United during the summer after weeks (felt like years) of speculation amid laughable interest from Arsenal.
It was fantastic seeing him win the World Cup with Argentina on Sunday night, but, I can’t lie. I was annoyed that he didn’t get on the pitch at any stage after playing a key role in their quest to the final, making four appearances and performing at a high standard.
The tough Argentine defender has followed up his World Cup success with Argentina by winning an individual accolade for his performances in a United shirt.
