Manchester United are relaxed over Alejandro Garnacho’s future amid fresh reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are confident of reaching an agreement with Garnacho on a contract extension.

United are in no rush because Garnacho only signed his first professional contract last July, which runs until 2024 and it includes the option of an additional year.

The 18-year-old was quizzed about a future transfer to Real Madrid while the first team were training in Spain, but David de Gea intervened and stated that Garnacho will not be allowed to leave Old Trafford.

“We won’t let him leave,” De Gea said about Garnacho.

Garnacho is enjoyed a breakthrough season in United’s first team and he is already attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite.

He looks set to spend the second half of the season competing with Jadon Sancho for a place in the team.

With two goals and two assists in eight senior appearances so far this season, we are looking at the next potential superstar to emerge from our academy after winning the FA Youth Cup last term.

Let us know in the comments section if you think Garnacho should be starting on the left flank ahead of Sancho.
