Alejandro Garnacho lauds Erik ten Hag’s impact on squad and youth players

Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho was full of praise for his manager, Erik ten Hag, in a recent interview.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene at Old Trafford and made an instant impact in the squad. Across November, he netted two goals and contributed two assists and was consequently named the club’s Player of the Month.

His goal against Real Sociedad also broke a record previously held by United legend George Best, when he became the Reds’ youngest non-English European goalscorer.

The Argentinian’s last-minute heroics at Craven Cottage secured a crucial three points for United before the international break, which also marked his first Premier League goal – and it’s likely the first of many.

Garnacho lights up the pitch with confidence every time he is granted the opportunity by Ten Hag. He has given United fans something to be excited about as his progress and development continue to grow.

Garnacho’s thoughts on Ten Hag

In an interview with MUTV, he said: “Erik ten Hag is a very good manager and, above all, he’s a great person. He always pays very close attention to us all, and helps us a great deal, especially the young players.

“I’ve had to keep working hard until the moment came where I was given my opportunity. For the moment, I’m making the most of the opportunities he’s giving me.

“I don’t want to take a backward step from here, I’d like to appear regularly in the team and keep going the same way.”
