Barcelona tracking Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho

It was only a matter of time before the Alejandro Garnacho transfer speculation resurfaced. We saw several links to Real Madrid, Juventus and even Liverpool in the summer – but Barcelona are the latest to join the list.

According to a report by Fichajes, Barcelona are tracking Garnacho, who is enjoying a breakthrough campaign at Manchester United.

Garnacho has caught the eye with his recent performances as he came off the bench on Thursday night to contribute two assists in a 4-2 win over Aston Villa. He also scored his first senior goal against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

Moreover, it is claimed that the 18-year-old has attracted interest from Barcelona and they are considering a move for him next summer.

Alejandro Garnacho set for new Manchester United contract

Manchester United are progressing with talks over a new deal for Garnacho, as per the Manchester Evening News, with his current contract set to expire in 2025.

The club is believed to be comfortable with Garnacho’s situation and I’m sure he will warm to the idea of staying at Old Trafford if he continues to get minutes in the first team.

It goes without saying that his recent performances have put even more pressure on Jadon Sancho.
