Manchester United have made the trip to the Midlands to face Aston Villa on Sunday, November 6.

The fixture provides a chance for United to further their impressive form, as they are currently on a nine-game unbeaten streak. They can also extend their 23-game unbeaten streak away to Aston Villa, which is a Premier League record.

Harry Maguire has returned to contention for United after missing several matches through injury.

The centre-back has fallen out of favour under Erik ten Hag but has retained the honour of captaincy. When not on the pitch, responsibility falls on to Bruno Fernandes.

The England international made his first league start since August last week when the Reds oversaw a 1-0 win at Old Trafford due to Victor Lindelof falling ill. He picked up a clean sheet and looked solid alongside Lisandro Martinez, who is confident enough in defence to steady whoever he is partnered with.

Maguire weighs in on Villa meeting

The Red Devils face Villa in consecutive matches, as they will meet again on Thursday for a Carabao Cup tie. Maguire told MUTV: “It’s strange that it’s fallen like that. It’s a bit like you play two legs in a Europa League or Champions League tie. [But] I think we just take each game as it comes.

“We won’t be looking at the second one, we’ll be looking at the first one and just looking to get the three points. We try and get the three points and after that, we try and win the second game.”
