Manchester United host Omonia Nicosia on Thursday night in the Europa League. The reverse fixture in Cyprus went United’s way but the Red Devils made hard work of it.

Erik ten Hag’s side had to come from behind to seal a 3-2 win away at Omonia, with Marcus Rashford (x2) and Anthony Martial getting on the scoresheet.

The Dutchman will be without Anthony Martial after being forced off at the weekend against Everton, but his compatriot, Raphael Varane, has returned from injury.

Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Scott McTominay should return to the starting eleven on Thursday night.

Predicted Manchester United XI to face Omonia Nicosia

David de Gea has started all of United’s Europa Legaue games this season and Martin Dubravka has yet to make his debut. We suspect nothing will change on that front until the Red Devils qualify for the knockout stages.

In defence, Victor Lindelof keeps his place alongside Lisandro Martinez because Ten Hag has every reason to be cautious with Varane after another injury. Malacia returns to his preferred role at left-back and Diogo Dalot will operate on the right.

Scott McTominay could return to our midfield as he has been ruled out of this weekend’s game against Newcastle due to suspicion. The Scotland international might be joined by Bruno Fernandes and Fred.

The manager is limited for options up front after Martial’s recent injury, so we’ve gone with a trio consisting of Anthony Elanga, Cristiano Ranaldo and Sancho.

Stretty News predicted XI: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia; McTominay, Fred, Fernandes; Elanga, Ronaldo, Sancho.
