(Video) Bruno Fernandes spots clever run before scoring against Czech Republic

Bruno Fernandes was one of Portugal’s best performers against the Czech Republic of Saturday night.

It was probably an eye-opener for Portugal manager Fernandes Santos because they were unable to get the best out of the Manchester United star at Euro 2020.

Fernandes scored and assisted against the Czech Republic after being given more freedom by his manager.

Santos turned away from the three-man midfield he has stuck with over the past couple of years to form a double pivot between Ruben Nevez and William Carvalho. This allowed Fernandes and Bernardo Silva to push up the pitch to cause havoc.

The goal came on the brink of half-time to make it 2-0 as Fernandes spotted space inside the box to run into before tapping the ball into the net.

Portugal won the match 4-0 thanks to a Diogo Dalot brace.

Santos’ side could be one to watch in Qatar later this year!
