Manchester United have been linked with a move for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

The South Korean only signed for the Italian club this summer from Fenerbahce and it is believed that he has a release clause worth around £43 million.

Kim has been linked with a move to United by CNN Turkey after a string of excellent performances for Napoli. He arrived as a replacement for Chelsea’s new signing Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, the only way to sign the 25-year-old would be to activate his release clause, which can’t be exercised in January.

This is likely to see a saga evolve around Kim this summer.

Right now, pundits are questioning whether this newcomer is genuinely one of the best defenders in Italy, and for that reason he should be on United’s radar at the very least.

Kim’s performances have helped Napoli as they sit on top of Serie A.

It will only be a matter of time before another club comes in for him.
