19:35 Full time: FC Sheriff 0-2 Manchester United

19:32 Maguire and Garnacho replace Antony and Martinez.

19:31 Easy away win this.

19:26 Elanga replaces Ronaldo.

19:24 We had some technical difficulties. Apologies. Back again.

19:16 Ronaldo chases a ball into the box but he is unable to find Antony with a simple pass.

19:12 Our midfield is so much better with Eriksen in it. What a signing he has been!

19:12 Malacia has moved to right-back.

19:11 Luke Shaw replaces Dalot.

19:11 Ronaldo shoots high and wide. He was looking for the far corner from distance.

19:11 Eriksen dictating the tempo of the game.

19:10 Casemiro playing well.

19:09 Fernandes gives the ball away. Too casual.

19:09 United in total control.

19:06 Eriksen’s corners not being contested by United players which is disappointing.

19:06 United corner.

19:04 Malacia fouled after the ball gets cleared from corner.

19:04 United corner.

19:02 Sheriff have an effort on goal. Lobbed attempt sent over the bar after some poor defending.

18:59 Great ball into the box by Eriksen. Important clearance before the ball reached Ronaldo.

18:58 Would like to see a ruthless factor about this United side. We’re keeping the ball well but we’re not threatening the goal as much as we could. The win should be in the back but this has become purposeless football in the season half. Sheriff offering very little.

18:56 Ronaldo constantly giving the ball away at this rate.

18:55 Sancho fouled.

18:55 United very patient with their build-up play. Taking control of the game.

18:50 Casemiro foul.

18:49 Fernandes forces a save.

18:47 Second half is underway! United lead 2-0

18:46 Casemiro coming on for McTominay.

18:46 The teams are back out on the pitch. Casemiro had a decent warm-up.

18:34 Pardon the pun – but Sheriff have shot themselves in the foot with they game plan. That and the fact they don’t look very good.

18:31 It was sloppy at the start of the first half and it took United at least 20 minutes to wake up. Sancho finished off a really nice move to make it 1-0 and Ronaldo stepped up to the spot to double United’s lead. We deserve the 2-0 lead because FC Sheriff have been very poor.

18:30 Half-time: FC Sheriff 0-2 Manchester United

18:29 United still creating chances.

18:26 Ronaldo hasn’t been great tonight but like I said before the match, he needed a goal tonight.

18:24 Ronaldo sent his penalty down the middle for his first goal of the season. He’s up and running!

18:24 GOAL! Ronaldo scores to make it 2-0

18:23 Ronaldo steps up.

18:23 Definite penalty. Dalot fouled.

18:23 PENALTY!

18:23 Antony anticipated a misplaced pass at the back before United pounced. Sancho thought the ball crossed the line but replays show it didn’t. Still 1-0.

18:22 Sancho has an effort cleared off the line!

18:20 Everything Sheriff do in attack is rushed. They are nothing special.

18:19 United’s travelling support loud and clear in the stands.

18:18 Antony plays Ronaldo through but he sends his shot high and wide.

18:18 This is Sheriff’s 10th European game of the season. They played a few Champions League qualifiers.

18:17 Sheriff love shooting from distance.

18:16 Good skill from Antony.

18:15 I can see United scoring another goal before half-time…

18:13 De Gea not troubled by Sheriff free-kick.

18:12 Ronaldo has the look on his face that says he can’t be arsed playing this lot.

18:10 Sheriff calling for fouls that occurred after they ran the ball out of play. You couldn’t make some of this Europa League stuff up.

18:08 Sheriff effort from distance goes inches wide. De Gea pointed towards to eye to gesture that he couldn’t see the ball.

18:07 Ronaldo loses the ball again.

18:07 Eriksen silently pulling the strings in the middle for United.

18:05 There’s still time for Sancho to get into the World Cup squad and you never quite know what could happen with injuries between now and then. Perhaps it’s selfish of me to hope he doesn’t go to Qatar. I want him fresh for United when the Premier League returns.

18:04 Took him 16 minutes to wake up but now Sancho has a goal to his name. We’ll take that.

18:03 What a reaction to being left out of the England squad. Lovely bit of skill and a good finish. Commentator’s curse, eh?

18:02 SANCHO GOAL! 1-0

18:02 Lovely bit of skill from Sancho but it’s been the first time he’s done anything in 16 minutes. Sheriff clear.

18:00 Ronaldo calls for a penalty. Nothing in it.

17:58 I’m not making excuses but the pitch looks like something I played on a few weeks ago.

17:56 Sheriff keeping the ball well, but United are sitting off.

17:54 United asleep so far.

17:52 United haven’t done much in attack but Fernandes and Ronaldo have been seen switching positions.

17:51 Lisandro Martinez taking no chances at the back. Clearance out for a Sheriff throw.

17:49 First time De Gea is asked to play with the ball and he can be seen apologising to Dalot, who passed him the ball. It’s an area of the goalkeeper’s game that I find a real concern in this system.

17:48 Dalot winning his first challenge up against FC Sheriff’s winger. Probably United’s most improved player under Ten Hag so far this season.

17:46 Anti-Glazer chants sung loudly from the start.

17:45 KICK-OFF!

17:44 Bruno Fernandes wears the captain’s armband tonight.

17:42 The players are out on the pitch ahead of kick-off.

17:29 Ten Hag: “We have to win this game. We have to do much better than last week because that was not good enough.”

17:27 This will be United’s first competitive match in Moldova. The wonders of the Europa League, eh?

17:25 Ten Hag on his line-up: “It’s about choosing the best team in every game. We have a good group, so everyone can play.”

17:21 5 changes from the Real Sociedad defeat. I don’t think anyone should be surprised by Ten Hag going full strength, even if it’s the Europa League, a second rate competition.

17:18 600 United fans expected inside the Zimbru Stadium tonight.

17:08 I am not surprised to see Erik ten Hag go with his full strength line-up tonight. This is United’s last game in over a month and it’s a must win after seeing our second string side lose 1-0 at home to Real Sociedad a week ago.

17:02 Manchester United XI: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; McTominay, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Ronaldo
