(Photo) Van de Beek spotted at UEFA Youth League match between Liverpool vs Ajax

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has been out of the squad recently with a knock, but today he was pictured watching Ajax in the UEFA Youth League against Liverpool.

The 25-year-old was a spectator at the U19s match in Liverpool this afternoon.

The game finished 4-0 in Liverpool’s favour.

Van de Beek was spotted in the audience by Ajax’s social media team, who were quick to post a picture of the Netherlands international on Twitter. It probably helped that he was stood beside Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who recently joined the club’s technical staff.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Marcus Rashford and Van de Beek were spotted arriving at Carrington in the morning, but neither were spotted taking part in the session.

That would suggest we’ll be without Rashford and Van de Beek on Thursday night in the Europa League.

It will be interesting to see if he’s spotted at Anfield for the Champions League tie tonight, although I presume he will avoid that one.
