Rio Ferdinand mocks Graeme Souness after Casemiro comments

Graeme Souness reacted to Casemiro’s £70 million transfer from Real Madrid to Manchester United last week.

The former Liverpool midfielder referred the Brazil international as a ‘steady Eddie’ on radio, adding that he has never rated Casemiro as a great player.

Speaking on his YouTube show, Vibe with Five, Rio Ferdinand has responded to Souness’ comments: “My man [Casemiro] has five Champions Leagues!

“Souness probably doesn’t watch it! Imagine adding Casemiro to that team with the way they played against Liverpool, I’m licking my lips, man.”

Casemiro has also won La Liga three times, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup (x3), UEFA Super Cup (x3) and FIFA Club World Cup (x3).

I don’t think anyone will be taking note of Souness’ comments in a few weeks time when Casemiro begins to settle in Manchester.

It wasn’t his brightest moment on television.
