Cristiano Ronaldo inflicted an embarrassing moment for Jamie Carragher live on Sky Sports.
The Portuguese star blanked Carragher as he spoke to Gary Neville and Roy Keane ahead of Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool.
Ronaldo, who was named on the bench, was warming up before the match when he took it upon himself to walk over to the Sky Sports cameras while the presenting team – David Jones, Neville, Carragher and Keane — were providing pre-match analysis.
Carragher put the microphone in front of Ronaldo, but the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was having none of it.
After shaking hands with Neville, Ronaldo again ignored Carragher like he wasn’t there before speaking to Keane.
Carragher said he was “totally blanked” as he laughed off the awkward encounter before Jones interrupted, saying: “Just like most people do.”

Carragher took to Twitter after the match, writing: “Bad night from start to finish! blanked by my good mate Ronaldo, Man Utd showing fight & quality & Liverpool all over the place!”

One thing is for certain this year… Ronaldo won’t be sending Carragher a Christmas card.
