Manchester United have announced what shirt numbers will be worn by new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.
We now know that Martinez will be taking the number 6, previously worn by Paul Pogba, and Eriksen will wear the number 14 on his back following Jesse Lingard’s departure.
Eriksen has usually worn the number 10 throughout his career, but nobody is taking that away from Marcus Rashford this summer.

Meanwhile, Martinez wore the number 21 shirt during his three years at Ajax, so he’ll be happy with his upgrade – wearing a significant squad number at a bigger club!
The Argentine has big shoes to fill when it comes to central defenders to wear number 6.
