Manchester United beat Liverpool 4-0 in a pre-season friendly held in Bangkok.
Erik ten Hag will be happy with how his players performed in their first game under his management because today, in many ways, it wasn’t about getting the result or winning the Bangkok Century Cup trophy. It was about playing well and giving much needed minutes to players.
David de Gea and Raphael Varane had injury scares but hopefully neither will miss out on training or the upcoming matches on tour as the team embarks on its journey to Australia this week.
After winning 4-0, Erik ten Hag and Bruno Fernandes were pictured on the pitch with the Bangkok Century Cup trophy, which United received for winning the match.

We hope it’s the first of many for Ten Hag at United – because we only really care about the trophies you can lift in May. That said, I would love to win the Carabao Cup this coming season!
