Rio Ferdinand has Mo Salah making coffees ahead of the Champions League final.
Something is very wrong.
Not only are Liverpool challenging for the biggest honours while Manchester United struggle, we’ve got a former player, who is considered a club legend, cosying up to one of our rivals’ biggest stars ahead of their Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Mo Salah is obviously an incredible player but the favourable coverage they recieve from the media can tip us over the edge at times. I think Gary Neville does it when talking about Jurgen Klopp’s side on Sky Sports, too, so Ferdinand isn’t alone.
In the video below, Ferdinand asks Salah to add one sugar to his macchiato. The recording shows the pair joking around and I can only presume it was for a BT Sports interview ahead of Saturday night’s final.
Macchiato pls with 1 sugar 😂😂

Sure, it’s only a bit of harmless fun and I am not naive enough to think footballers from different clubs can be friends, but I can’t help but think Ferdinand goes out of his way to build connections for his own ventures (Vibe with Five podcast).
Best of luck to him.
