Ajax forward Sebastien Haller has delivered his verdict on Erik ten Hag’s move to Manchester United, with the club confirming his appointment as their manager earlier this week.
Ten Hag’s move to United was confirmed on Thursday, with the 52-year-old signing a three-year deal with the option to extend that for a further year.
Despite the early confirmation, Ten Hag is still in charge at Ajax and has five games remaining of the season. The Amsterdam club could win a third straight Eredivisie title and are currently four points clear of the chasing pack.
Star striker Sebastien Haller, who was signed by Ten Hag from West Ham last year, was quizzed on his departing manager outside the club’s training ground earlier on Friday.

“It’s just like working with someone really professional and really into his job,” he told Sky Sports when pressed on what it’s like to work with Ten Hag. “Nothing is by random, he’s ready for every situation so, of course, it gives safety to players, you know.
“He just said he’s going to move. It’s professional now, we just need to finish the season, he’s aware of it. He’s really focused on this goal for us and then, he has time to speak about his next move.
“A top coach is always good for the Premier League, nothing is easy before to say. (It) depends on how all the things will go and how much confidence he will have and what is the freedom he will have as well.”
The decision to announce Ten Hag’s arrival so early could have implications for Ajax but the Dutch manager will make sure that focus is not lost as they close in on another Eredivisie title.
Once that has been taken care of, it’s straight to work at Carrington as he eyes to hopefully become the first Dutch manager to win the Premier League at some point in the future.
