(Video) Gary Neville savagely slates Man Utd players ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United are going into tonight’s visit to Liverpool as heavy underdogs, with Jurgen Klopp’s side chasing an unprecedented quadruple this season.

Ralf Rangnick has overseen a damaging four months since he took charge in December but with roughly a month left of the season, they remain in the race to secure Champions League football for next year.

As for this fixture, most United fans have already resigned themselves to defeat, with the current crop of players at the club showing very little to suggest they’ll be up for the fight, something Gary Neville has doubled down on ahead of kick-off.

“To be in front of Liverpool in league titles took a lot of hard work,” Neville told Sky Sports, via Football Daily, as seen above. “And the idea of Liverpool going level with United on titles, you’d like to think is somehow tapping into these players’ psyche before this game.

“However, I have to say, I have not seen a group of Manchester United players in my lifetime demonstrate the lack of appetite that I’ve seen to play football in the last few months and actually, all season.

“So in normal times, you’d say that United have a chance of winning it, they have a chance of shocking Liverpool. But these are abnormal times.”

It’s a scathing attack from the former Manchester United captain and although they’re consistent nowadays, you’ll struggle to find a United fan who doesn’t agree with Neville.
