The best attacking midfielders don’t come cheap.
Transfermarkt has updated their player transfer values with the 2021/22 campaign drawing to a close.
Bruno Fernandes has been named the world’s joint-most expensive attacking midfielder, after signing a new long-term Manchester United contract.
The Portugal international has been valued at €90m, which can only be matched by Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

1. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – €90m
2. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – €90m
3. Mason Mount (Chelsea) – €75m
4. Bernardo Silva (Man City) – €75m
5. Kai Havertz (Chelsea) – €70m
Although United have been linked with a host of midfielders this summer, it’s unlikely that they will sign another attacking midfielder.
Erik ten Hag should look to sign a defensive midfielder now that the club is prepared to sell Nemanja Matic.
