(Photo) Michael Carrick returns to Old Trafford to watch United vs Leicester City

Former Manchester United midfielder and coach Michael Carrick was spotted at Old Trafford today for the match against Leicester City.

The game remains scoreless after the first-half and United have been far from their best.

That said, we’ve rarely seen this team at their best this season, which explains why we are struggling to finish in the top four.

Carrick and others will agree that this is a huge fall from finishing runners-up in the Premier League last season, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was dismissed in October.

Carrick took over as caretaker manager for a few games but left the club following Ralf Rangnick’s arrival.

Today he gets to enjoy Old Trafford as a fan, though there has not been much to enjoy on the pitch. Hopefully we find a winner somewhere before it’s too late.

BBC journalist Simon Stone shared a picture of Carrick seated at the Theatre of Dreams.

Good to see him back!

  1. Good to see him. He should have continued after Ole. Ralph has not helped us as expected. Please announce the Manager asap to boost the morale of the players and fans.

  2. If the administration of Manchester united want to be serious, Carrick should be àppointed as next coach.
