Fred had every reason to celebrate at the Maracana stadium last night when he started in Brazil’s 4-0 win over Chile.
The Manchester United midfielder is a mainstay in Tite’s side, and he was sat alongside Real Madrid’s Casemiro in midfield for the most recent outing.
Neymar, Vini Jr, Philippe Coutinho and Richarlison all got on the scoresheet as they managed a seventh win in seven home qualifiers against Chile, who must now beat the already qualified Uruguay in their final match next Tuesday to have any hope of securing a place at the Qatar World Cup.
Fred took to Twitter after the match, describing it as a night to remember.
Noite para ficar guardada sempre na memória. Agradeço a Deus por me proporcionar momentos como esse. Maracanã lotado + Seleção Brasileira = 💚💛 pic.twitter.com/OrKKXk9zj7
