(Video) Harry Maguire aims dig at Atletico Madrid style after UCL defeat

Harry Maguire took aim at Atletico Madrid, who, in recent years, have become the masters of dark arts.

After scoring before half-time, the current La Liga champions came out for the second half and did exactly what most expected them to by going down at the slightest contact and time wasting.

United crashed out of Europe on the night and Maguire was one of the worst performers.

However, Maguire was right to be frustrated by how the slightest touch prompted the Atleti players to go down.

The skipper summed up the feeling in the dressing room by telling beIN SPORTS: “It’s a sad dressing room, we felt we did enough to get something from the game.”

Atleti were reminiscent of FC Porto in 2005 when Jose Mourinho took the Portuguese side to Old Trafford before leading them to Champions League glory.

Hopefully our players learned a lesson or two because we are far from being masters of dark arts on the football pitch.
