Jesse Lingard has attracted interest from another Premier League club.

According to football.london, Tottenham have made contact with Lingard’s representatives over a potential move to north London.

The 29-year-old Manchester United midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, where he impressed and could easily end up going back there this month or for free in the summer.

To reference the article in question, Alasdair Gold writes: “football.london understands that Spurs have also sounded out Lingard’s camp about a potential move in the summer and could explore the option of a January move.”

But even if United did receive an offer from Spurs this month for Lingard, should they accept it when Antonio Conte’s side are considered a top four rival at this point?

The England international is getting nowhere near enough game time at United, who will get nothing for him if he leaves in the summer, but he could still prove an important asset to the team this season.

I’m sure Ralf Rangnick will get to make the final call if an offer comes in.
