(Photo) Solskjaer spotted leaving Manchester airport amid reports of dismissal

Since the Manchester United squad traveled to Watford by plane (how elite), the players and staff returned to Manchester airport tonight after suffering a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Watford.

The shocking result, which has come part of a trend under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is set to cost the Norwegian his job as manager.

Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick are expected to step in on an interim basis, ahead of United’s trip to Villarreal in the Champions League next week.

It cited reports that suggested that the manager said his goodbyes in the dressing room after United’s 4-1 defeat away to Watford.

Solskjaer was pictured, as per the Manchester Evening News, as he drove home from the airport. The sacking announcement could be just hours away with claims United are in the process of sorting out his compensation package.

The writing is on the wall and United need to change something, but the lack of a clear plan is a big concern, when so many fans saw this coming but maybe not immediately after the international break.

The club has reportedly downplayed links to former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Unfortunately, it will be another sleepless night for Solskjaer.
