Manchester United among five PL clubs to join Bayern in race to sign German starlet

Five of the Premier League’s big six are reportedly interested in Bayer Leverkusen starlet Florian Wirtz, but Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich lead the race.

Germany has a reputation for producing world-class players and Wirtz is thought to be the latest of his generation who will make a big move soon. His aim will be to join the likes of Kai Havertz at Chelsea or Jamal Musiala at Bayern Munich by signing for one of Europe’s biggest clubs and there is already interest from the Premier League.

Wirtz has four goals and four assists to his name in the Bundesliga this season – from just five matches – so it comes as no surprise that Manchester United are one of the clubs reportedly tracking the youngster.

SPORTBILD journalist Christian Falk claims Manchester City are scouting Wirtz intensely while Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all in the race to.

Bayern tend to scoop up talent in Germany like no other. Time will tell if Wirtz fancies moving to the Premier League.
