It turns out Diogo Dalot is staying at Manchester United this summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has tweeted an update on the Manchester United right-back, with word that he is set to stay at the club, despite links to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.
Romano says there is “no way for Borussia Dortmund to sign Diogo Dalot” – completely ruling it out to suggest he will be Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s back-up this season.
Right backs situation. No way for Borussia Dortmund to sign Diogo Dalot, he stays at Man Utd. Santiago Arias will join Granada, done deal. Atletico Madrid are working to sign Celik from Lille as replacement. 🔴 #transfers
Trippier situation, still quiet. Keep an eye on Tomiyasu.

The Portugal international spent last season on loan with AC Milan last term and gained a lot of first-team experience. It should stand to him when called upon by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a United shirt.
This comes after Sky Sports journalist Max Bielefeld claimed that United and Borussia Dortmund had reached an agreement over a loan with the German side obliged to buy Dalot on a permanent basis upon the loan’s expiry.
With Dalot staying, I can’t see Kieran Trippier coming in before deadline day.
