Manchester United to hijack Man City’s move for Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United are tempted to hijack Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential move to Man City.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Glazers believe a Ronaldo homecoming would get them back onside with United fans after the European Super League disaster earlier this year.

It would take a lot more than that – after years of abandoning the first team – but there is no denying that a last dance with Ronaldo would cheer up every Red worldwide.

Juventus reportedly want €30 million for Ronaldo, 36, and his availability appeals to the Glazer family, who made a similar purchase for their NFL franchise the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last summer in Tom Brady.

Ronaldo’s representatives have been in dialogue with Man City, but CaughtOffside claims Juventus have called for an emergency meeting after receiving interest from United.

This would be a huge blow to Pep Guardiola’s plans to find a goalscorer before the transfer deadline.
