Man Utd talks with Sheffield United over Amad Diallo are ‘underway’

Sheffield United have opened talks with Manchester United over a deal to sign Amad Diallo on loan, according to reports. The young winger recently changed his shirt number from No.19 to No.16 and looks to be heading out temporarily.

The 19-year-old joined the club earlier this year but has been used sporadically by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, despite his side’s lack of options on the right side of the attack last season.

Jadon Sancho’s arrival at the club will not have helped Amad in his search for regular football at Manchester United and instead, it’s now being reported that talks between Sheffield United and Manchester United over a season-long loan are ‘underway’.

That’s according to Football Insider, who claim that United have given the green light for the winger to leave on loan. United are keen for the Ivory Coast international to play for a side in which he can expect regular playing time.

Amad is deemed to be one of the most highly-rated young players at the club and despite a lack of experience at the highest level, a Premier League loan could still happen depending on how negotiations with Sheffield United develop.
