Paul Pogba made his return to Manchester United on Saturday as they eased past a lackluster Everton side to win 4-0. The France international was one of many first-team regulars to make their first pre-season appearance of the summer.
Pogba was granted an extended break this summer following his involvement in this summer’s European Championship but he returned to action against Everton, featuring in the second half as United played out their final dress rehearsal.
Amid speculation over his future, the 28-year-old was given an ovation by Manchester United fans during the warm-up, and the former Juventus star reciprocated the gesture with a wave.

Despite having just 45 minutes of pre-season action in the bank, Pogba is expected to play some part in next week’s Premier League game against Leeds United.
55,000 fans were in attendance to watch the trashing of Everton but Old Trafford will be sold out for the first time since March 2020 when Marcelo Bielsa’s side visits.
