Solskjaer addresses transfer plans ahead of deadline

Manchester United have four weeks to complete their transfer business.

The problem Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces is he’s already got a bloated squad of 33 players.

Every Manchester United fan knows at least three players they would happily see the back of, and not in a disrespectful manner but there are several more Solskjaer would happily sell if the right offer came in.

United have signed two players this summer, with Jadon Sancho joining from Borussia Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid – in my opinion, signing both players exceed transfer window expectations.

The transfer gossip columns won’t give up on United that easy. We are being linked to a number of midfielders and a late move for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier.

“Anything from now is a bonus,” Solskjaer said, as per Manchester Evening News. “I have to say that, with the two signings we’ve got, we’ve strengthened where we wanted to strengthen. Let’s see what happens. You never know in football. Anything can happen, ins and outs.

“Transfer-wise, we’ve done our business early. Raphael hasn’t done his medical yet but that should be okay. I’m very pleased with what we’ve done.”

Phil Jones is one of the passengers on the wage book and Andreas Pereira will be seen as another if United are unable to sell the Brazil international this summer.

David de Gea also risks losing his place as number one, so will we have the highest paid goalkeeper in the world sat on the bench?

So many questions, but is there enough time? It’s not like any club will get everything they want done this summer but we should push close.
