Man United star stalling over possible summer transfer

Following what is shaping up to be a major squad rebuild, one player’s future who is still undecided is midfielder Paul Pogba. The Frenchman’s contract is set to expire in just 12-months time and with rumours that Paris-Saint Germain is interested in signing him, the 2018 World Cup winner’s Old Trafford future is far from certain.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes from 90min, who claim that despite being tipped for a stunning summer move, the French midfielder is in ‘no rush’ to make a decision over his long-term future.

Pogba, 28, rejoined United in 2016, following a whopping £94.5m move from Italian side Juventus.

Since arriving back at his old stomping ground, the 28-year-old has gone on to feature in 206 senior matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 80 goals, along the way.

Despite being widely regarded as one of Europe’s most talented and well-rounded central midfielders, Pogba’s last five years at United have seen the playmaker come under heavy criticism.

Suggestions that the midfielder does not perform at his best for the Red Devils have recently been echoed by how well he did for France during this summer’s delayed Euros 2020 – nevertheless, losing a talent like Pogba is never ideal.

However, although the prospect of seeing Pogba move on will not be every fans’ desired outcome, it goes without saying, with the midfielder able to agree to a pre-contract with foreign clubs as early as January 2022, finding a solution is now a matter of urgency.

90min believe that despite the time-sensitive nature of the 28-year-old’s contractual situation, the player himself is in no hurry to make his mind up, with fans now being warned to expect this one to go down to the wire.
