(Video) Kasper Schmeichel makes incredible save on Harry Maguire’s header

England went into half-time of their Euro 2020 semi-final against Denmark with the scores level. Denmark had taken the lead through an incredible 25-yard free-kick but an own-goal from Simon Kjaer ensured the two sides could not be separated at the interval.

It was, however, England who looked the better side after the break as Gareth Southgate’s side pushed to score a second goal. Harry Maguire, who scored in their 4-0 win over Ukraine in the quarter-final, came close to giving England the lead for the first time in the game.

Harry Kane won a free-kick near the corner flag and the Manchester United captain met Mason Mount’s cross but saw his effort clawed away by Kasper Schmeichel.

It looked like Maguire had given his side the all-important lead and potentially a place in Sunday’s final but heroics from the Leicester City goalkeeper made sure Denmark stayed in the game.
