“Get Sancho on!” – loads of England fans call for changes after Denmark score

England went into the blockbuster semi-final against Denmark at Wembley as comfortable favourites. Gareth Southgate’s side had not conceded a goal in any of their opening five games, being the only team to do so.

But the Scandinavian side started the encounter as the better side, scoring halfway through the first half through an incredible free-kick. Luke Shaw, who has been one of England’s best players at the tournament, fouled a Danish player on the edge of the box.

Southgate has been criticized for the mishap and fans on social media are now calling for the manager to make changes, with Jadon Sancho tipped to have a positive impact.

Despite Denmark taking the lead in the game, the Three Lions scored just before half-time to level the scores. Bukayo Saka, who was looking for Raheem Sterling in the box, forced an own goal from Simon Kjaer.
