Borussia Dortmund have reportedly identified a replacement for Jadon Sancho, who is said to be closing in on a move to Manchester United. The young winger is the subject of intensive interest from United, but a move could finally be set to be concluded.
Sancho is a cornerstone in Dortmund’s team and his 16 goals and 20 assists last season will be difficult to replace, but the German club has sounded out a replacement in typical BVB fashion.
That’s according to German journalist Constantin Eckner, who claims that PSV’s Noni Madueke is on a list of potential replacements for the club.
Borussia Dortmund are thinking about PSV's Noni Madueke as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho. That makes much more sense than Donyell Malen, who would rather be an option for the centre. #BVB

More negotiating to be expected, but both sides are interested in getting it done. No one wants to look weak, though.

Eckner also claimed that although a deal is yet to be concluded for the transfer of Sancho, more negotiations between the clubs are expected and both sides are interested in getting a deal over the line.
Last summer’s transfer saga was an embarrassing one for Manchester United and they will be desperate to avoid a similar scenario this year, with Eckner going on to say that none of the sides involved want to look weak.
