The annual Golden Boy nominations list has been released and it features two Manchester United stars after their impressive 2020/21 campaign. Mason Greenwood was nominated last year and returns to the mouthwatering 100-man line-up.
Manchester United’s teenage sensation is joined by new-boy Amad Diallo, who is nominated for the first time. Amad joined Manchester United from Atalanta in January this year and has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top, having already made his debut for the club and also scored his first goal.
The Golden Boy award is given an award voted for by journalists, given to the player under the age of 21 to have been the most impressive during a calendar year. Any nominee must be playing in a top tier league in Europe.

Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is the current holder of the award but Manchester United’s two teenage supremos will be hoping to join Anthony Martial and Anderson as players to have won the award at the club.
Mason Greenwood’s strong end to the season earned him a call-up to England’s provisional Euro 2020 squad but was forced to rule out through injury, whilst Amad was also called up to his senior national side. The 18-year-old scored on his just second appearance for his nation with a 90th-minute free-kick.
